Dying for Derby!!!

I've been at journalism camp in Indiana, (yes I am a nerd), for what feels like forever. 
I haven't been to practice in a whole freakin' week!
I'm also surprisingly bruise-free, and feeling good just doesn't feel right!
If it hadn't been for Blood & Thunder's World Cup Final Tryouts & Bout on DNN, I might have died from derby deprivation or a derby deficiency! (Pardon the alliteration, I did mention I'm at journalism camp, right?)  
Hopefully I can make it till Saturday :)

Today marks an monumental day in derby history. . . 

I have purchased a new "Love Pink" shirt!

The original one that led to the "birth" of Pink E was disgusting! (As in pit-stains disgusting.)

So luckily while on my monthly pilgrimage to VS I stumbled upon this baby

My New Motto

So last night at practice while we were doing a hitting drill I came across my new motto. . .

PS I skated for 8 hours yesterday!

Great Night!

Sure we may have lost 33-66, but all in all it was an awesome bout!
The craziest part by far was when MY SKIRT FELL OFF!!!
In the last jam my hula skirt started slipping off. . . soo I ripped it off and threw it in the direction of the crowd!
While it was kind of embarrassing, it was pretty hilarious and I felt like a true derby girl, I mean I think it takes guts to "hula-hit" a girl while having a major wardrobe malfunction, don't ya think?
Anyways it's been a long day so goodnight world, I love you!

The Black Widows will play the Switchblade Sisters, after the Tampa Bay Derby Chicks duke it out!
The bout will be held at Skateplex (5313 E. Busch Blvd. Tampa FL 33618), as always, and doors open at 7pm.
